Adam Discovers His Hidden Singing Talent
Sometimes you spend years thinking you know exactly what your role is in music, only to discover you had another instrument hiding inside you the entire time.
During the ADAM Music Project episode of The Chris & Mike Show, Adam DeGraide talks about discovering something he didn't necessarily expect: he could actually sing.
What started as creating music and developing songs turned into realizing his own voice could become part of the ADAM Music Project sound. Instead of staying safely behind the guitar or relying on somebody else to deliver the vocals, Adam began exploring what he could do behind the microphone.
Chris and Mike dig into that discovery and something nearly every musician can relate to: sometimes we're our own toughest critics. You can convince yourself you can't do something simply because you've never seriously given yourself the opportunity to try.
Adam's story is also another example of the philosophy that runs throughout the episode. Create. Experiment. Finish the song. Put yourself out there. You might discover something about yourself that you never knew existed.
You don't have to sound like somebody else. You don't have to be technically perfect.
You have to find your voice.
And sometimes, apparently, that voice has been there the whole damn time.
