ADAM Music Project: Where Gaming Meets Hard Rock
What happens when you take the energy of classic hard rock, mix it with video game culture, and refuse to take yourself too seriously?
You get the ADAM Music Project.
During this episode of The Chris & Mike Show, Adam DeGraide talks about how his love of gaming has worked its way into his music, giving him an endless source of characters, stories, nostalgia, humor, and ideas to turn into songs.
But this isn't novelty music with a couple of distorted guitars thrown behind it. Adam approaches these songs like legitimate hard rock tracks, with big riffs, memorable hooks, strong production, and enough attitude to stand on their own even if you've never picked up a controller.
Chris, Mike, and Adam get into how gaming culture gives musicians an entirely different universe to explore creatively. Instead of writing the same songs about relationships and heartbreak, why not write about the games, characters, battles, and experiences that millions of people already have an emotional connection to?
It's another example of Adam finding his own lane rather than trying to sound like everybody else.
Turn up the guitar. Grab the controller. And hit START.
