Don’t Let Fear Hold You Back From Sharing Your Idea
How many great ideas never go anywhere because the person who had them was too afraid to tell anyone?
During the ADAM Music Project episode of The Chris & Mike Show, Adam DeGraide talks about one of the biggest obstacles creative people face: fear. Fear that the idea isn't good enough. Fear somebody will laugh at it. Fear of rejection. And sometimes, fear of simply putting something personal out there for other people to judge.
Whether you're writing a song, starting a business, creating a show, or chasing something completely different, eventually you have to stop keeping the idea safely inside your own head and put it in front of people.
Chris, Mike, and Adam discuss why sharing an idea can actually make it stronger. Feedback creates new possibilities. Conversations lead to collaborations. One person hearing your idea could create an opportunity you never saw coming.
And yes, sometimes people won't like it.
That's part of creating.
The bigger mistake is allowing fear to kill something before you've even given it a chance.
You don't need everybody to believe in your idea. Sometimes you just need enough courage to say it out loud.
