Dippy the Lad: Rocking the Acoustic Scene 🎸
What happens when you combine rock and roll, acoustic music, cannabis culture and a guy who proudly calls himself “the silliest name in rock”?
You get Dippy the Lad.
On this episode of The Chris & Mike Show, Chris and Mike sit down with singer, songwriter and guitarist Dippy the Lad to talk about his musical journey and his new album, Burning to No End.
Dippy also takes us inside his upcoming MTV Unplugged inspired acoustic show in Brooklyn, where the plan goes way beyond simply playing music. There’ll be acoustic performances, an open mic, food, drinks, cannabis and a community of people coming together for a completely different kind of live music experience.
The conversation also dives into Dippy’s years working around the cannabis industry, legalization in New Jersey and New York, and how cannabis culture has become intertwined with music, creativity and community.
But underneath all the fun is an independent musician doing what independent musicians do: writing songs, playing shows, building an audience and continuing to bet on his own music.
If you love discovering artists before everybody else does, this one's worth checking out.
Dippy the Lad may have one of the silliest names in rock, but he's pretty damn serious about the music. 🤘
