Kid Rock: Musical Talent vs. Politics
Can you separate the musician from the politics?
In this clip from Episode 222 of The Chris & Mike Show, Dan Johnson joins Chris and Mike for a conversation about Kid Rock, his musical ability, and how his outspoken political views can sometimes overshadow the conversation about his talent.
Whether you agree with his politics or can't stand them, there's another question worth asking: Can you acknowledge someone's talent without agreeing with their beliefs?
Chris, Mike, and Dan get into the difference between judging the music and judging the person behind it, and how difficult that separation has become in today's culture.
You don't have to agree with an artist to appreciate what they can do.
But can YOU separate the music from the politics?
