The Power of Love Languages in Marriage
You can absolutely love your spouse and still leave them wondering, “Do you even love me?”
Why? Because sometimes we're showing love in the way we want to receive it, instead of the way our partner actually needs it.
In this short from The Chris & Mike Show, Coach Keith Dorscht joins Chris and Mike for a conversation about love languages and the role they can play in marriage and long term relationships.
Words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, acts of service, and gifts can all communicate affection differently. The important part isn't simply knowing your partner's love language. It's actually paying attention and using that knowledge.
The guys discuss how easy it is for couples to get comfortable over the years and assume their partner “already knows” they're loved. But relationships need intentional effort, whether you've been together for two years or twenty years.
And sometimes the smallest things matter the most.
A compliment. A hug. Making dinner. Putting the phone down. Spending time together. Leaving a little note where they'll find it.
Love isn't only something you feel. It's something your partner needs to be able to recognize.
